Our clients
We have conducted projects for a wide range of clients, from a variety of industries. Recent projects include:
Programme management and Sarbanes-Oxley
Management of a client’s Sarbanes Oxley programme across Europe; we successfully
completed 42 compliance projects over 18 months, all on time.
More details are in our Business Process Re-engineering (BPR) case study.
BP - Programme management
Management and deployment of BP's "Purchase to Pay" programme across ten sites in Europe, implementing the procurement side of SAP across the region. We managed the implementation of a web-based purchasing system that included automatic payment via credit card, and which was fully integrated into the client's SAP system.
As a result, our client at BP recorded a 85,000 decrease in the number
of invoices (a drop of 50%), a saving that allowed 20 accounts payable
staff to be redeployed.
More details are in our Purchase to Pay (P2P) case study.
BP - Project management and compliance
Project management of compliance issues associated with the implementation of an HR infrastructure system at BP:
We advised on the requirements of Sarbanes-Oxley, and delivered process documentation for the new HR processes.
We advised on the requirements of the Data Protection Act.
We worked with BP's Internal Audit function to review the project for compliance with BP's own project management methodology.
Project management
Management and execution of a client’s Fast Track Sourcing program. Delivery of a Federal Procurement deal, from inception to first order, within 90 days (previous sourcing programs had taken approximately 18 months). This initiative delivered a repeatable process for use by global procurement teams, and allowed cost savings benefits to be realised more rapidly.
Project management and due diligence
Management and execution of due diligence projects. We performed comprehensive reviews that allowed our clients to make informed decisions on strategic business direction. We delivered:
A review of past, current and projected financials
Financial sensitivity analysis
Review of future strategy risks
Customer dependency analysis
Review of industry trends
Management team review
Non Financial Management Information (NFMI)
A FTSE100 client was concerned with the integrity and consistency of
their key externally and internally reported csr, for example in their
Annual Report. We worked with the client to define the scope of the project
and to prioritise each metric (based on impact of mis-statement and required
data quality), and then applied a fit-for-purpose methodology to review
each of the metrics. This process identified control deficiencies in the
production of the individual data, which we helped the client to address.
The result was that the client had assurance that their csr data set
was robust and consistently reported in all their external and internal
documentation.
More details are in our Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) case study.
Management information efficiency and effectiveness
A client identified that the management information associated with all aspects of their business had proliferated over a number of years and was in need of extensive rationalisation.
We ran the project management office on behalf of the client: project charter, business case creation and monitoring, planning, progress tracking and reporting, issue identification, ongoing risk identification and analysis, cost control, resource management, change management system and stakeholder communications. Additionally, in conjunction with the client, we developed the following tools:
MI Contract
MI Network
MI Timeouts
MI Six Sigma workouts
MI principles
MI Cost framework
as well as an ongoing governance process. We also developed a web tool to catalogue the MI that is being produced and the characteristics associated with it. The project outcome was an elimination of 1500 reports which allowed 25 FTE's to be released.
